Heaven and Anti-mainstream Story
FINALLY, they choose me. Such like dream come true. Honestly, I was a big surprise. I know myself. I know what they ask me. I'm sure can't make them satisfy. As I told before (read: Ten Days to Kill), it's about my poor English. How do I can give my best if there is a big wall that I can pass trough? Sorry, I mean it's hard to pass trough. Imagine that this work just needs my mother tongue. It will be easier, isn't it? But anyway, how can we grow more and more if life just offers us an easy stuff to play. Maybe God must put the chosen one in a more difficult situation to push them higher. Even I realize that in some situation, sometimes life push us in a hard position that can losing our mind.
Back to what we call "our dream", what do you think about destiny? What we get is what we ought to get. One time, a secretary of the project told me that no one from all candidates that apply for my job position does qualify. See?! How come they eventually choose me? Life has just shown me the serious funny logic. What you calculate (with your genius brain) doesn't mean will give you the same result in the end, in our unpredictable life. God has shown that there is the anti-mainstream story to be played. He likes going to say, "Put off your logic to get more amazing things that you can imagine before". Yea.. you and I have two tools: logic and faith. Sadly, the first one still becomes my favorite instrument. That's why sometimes I feel heaven laugh at me. @aswan

Yang Berani Melawan Bung Karno
17 Agustus 1966. foto: AFP |

Tentang Empat Perempuan
(pojok kiri atas searah jarum jam) Sachiko Murata, Karen Armstrong, Nawal El Saadawi, Jhumpa Lahiri |
Hehehe... Tapi saya ingin cerita sedikit tentang "perkenalan" saya dengan empat nama tadi.

Ten Days to Kill
IT WAS AN AWKWARD INTERVIEW. My first experience in a formal situation using English as a language of conversation. For English in daily life, it's ok if we make some mistakes: the grammar of spelling the words. We can build a mutual understanding. But not in this interview. Every single word must be correct. There were three interviewers sitting on me. I don't know why it's so hard to find a good or proper diction. They are Indonesian. "Came on, why so serious.. Let's talk in Bahasa Indonesia. Ups... No, I'm just kidding. You play the rule." [wink]
Not sure, although I wish that they will choose me. But if I was them, exactly no doubt that talking and writing in English are a must for a candidate that will join in my team. It's a basic skill. Oh God, why life isn't simple as I want to be. Have a good job and honorable salary. Need ten days to know am I the one who they want or not. Need ten days to ask myself am I good enough for all my dream. And maybe need ten days to make a wasted wish. Sometimes life just like a roller coaster that we can guess how it will be ended. We just enjoy the circle and sensation because that what we look for. If you don't agree, presume that I'm just kidding. [wink] @aswan
*note:
gimana-gimana, blepotan kan Inggrisku? 😬
